Month-to-month

Monthly rental

You pay only for the days you actually use in your first month. After that, one fixed amount on the 1st.

  • First payment is part-month, worked out to the day
  • Every payment after that lands on the 1st
  • Cancel with one calendar month’s notice
Prepaid term

Packages

You pay the full 1, 3 or 5-year term once, up front. Your rate is locked and you earn cash back every month.

  • One payment, on the day you book
  • Monthly cash back for the whole term
  • Cancel any time, unused days refunded
A real example — a 6×3 unit booked on 8 March
R2,250.00Monthly rate ÷ 31Days in March × 24Days you use = R1,741.94Due today

The 8th to the 31st is 24 days, and your booking day counts. On 1 April, and on the 1st of every month after that, you are charged the full R2,250.00.

Monthly rental

What do I pay on the day I book?

Depending on the day you book, you will be charged a pro-rata amount according to how many days are left in the month. That is automatically calculated for you at checkout.

When is my next payment due?

On the 1st of the following month, and on the 1st of every month after that.

What if I book on the 1st of the month?

You pay the normal monthly rate the minute you book, and every month from there.

What happens if a payment fails?

PayFast will try your card again for up to 3 days. Our team will reach out to you so we can update your card details.

After three days and multiple failed payment attempts, your access to the site is revoked and your biometric access at the entrance will no longer work.

How do I cancel a monthly rental?

Email sales@storeit.co.za giving one calendar month’s notice, and our team will cancel your monthly rental.

Packages

How and when is a package charged?

Once, in full, on the day you book. There is no recurring payment and no second invoice. Your rate is fixed for the whole term, whatever happens to our monthly prices.

How does the cash back work?

Every package earns a fixed cash back amount each month of its term, paid to you. The amount depends on your unit size and how long your term is:

Amounts are per unit, per month, for every month of the term.

Can I cancel my package early?

You most certainly can. The remaining amount of your original purchase is refunded to you within 10 working days.

It is calculated to the day. On a 5-year 6×3 package, for example, your R135,000.00 is divided by the total number of days in the five-year term. Every day you have used is then subtracted from your refund amount.

Cash back you have already received is yours. We do not deduct it from your refund.

Payments, invoices & pricing

How is my payment processed?

Every payment is handled by PayFast, a licensed South African payment provider. You enter your card details on PayFast’s secure page.

We never see, receive or store your card number. We only receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, and a reference number.

When do I get an invoice?

You receive an invoice as soon as your purchase has been successful. This works the same way for month-to-month rentals and for packages.

Package customers receive a single invoice for their full term. Month-to-month customers receive their pro-rata invoice first, followed by an invoice for each monthly payment thereafter.

Are prices in Rand, and is VAT included?

All prices are in South African Rand (ZAR).

All prices shown on this website include VAT. Your invoice shows the VAT portion separately.

Can my price go up?

Packages: Never. Your rate is locked for the term you paid for.

Monthly rentals: We may adjust monthly rates from time to time. If your rate changes, we give you at least one calendar month’s written notice before the new amount is charged.

Is there a deposit or admin fee?

No deposit, no admin fee, no sign-up fee, and no lock-in on monthly rentals.

Why has my “due today” amount changed?

Your pro-rata amount is calculated from the current date. As each day passes, one fewer day remains in the month, and the amount payable today reduces accordingly. Your full monthly rate is unaffected and does not change.

The amount charged to you is the amount displayed in your cart at the moment you proceed to PayFast.
