Pianos, safes, pool tables, or anything two people cannot safely lift.
Insurance. Goods are carried at the customer’s risk. We recommend arranging cover — most household policies extend to storage for very little.
Common questions
Is it really free?
Yes, it is. Move-in transport is included when you rent a new unit. Nothing is added to what you pay, and there is nothing to settle with the driver on the day.
How do I book it?
A link is included in your invoice. Everything you need sits on the other side of it — the address, the date, and the size of your load. There is nothing to arrange beforehand and nothing to ask us for.
I’m 34km out. What happens then?
We still come. The first 30km remain free and we charge R12 per additional kilometre, one way — so 34km costs you R48. You are given the exact figure in advance, and you are entirely free to say no and move yourself.
Will all of it fit in one load?
That depends on the vehicle. We run a variety of them, from a bakkie up to a large truck that carries a three-bedroom house, and we match one to what you are moving. Describe your load generously rather than sparingly: there is no penalty for half-filling a truck, and a second trip is a chargeable trip.
Who carries the risk if something is damaged?
Goods are carried and stored at the customer’s risk. Store It Honeydew does not insure customer goods, whether in transit or in your unit, and the customer remains liable for any loss or damage. Our crews are careful and experienced, but care is not the same as cover. We recommend arranging insurance — most household policies extend to a storage unit for very little. The full position is set out in your Storage Agreement.
Move-in transport included.
Every unit at Store It Honeydew comes with free moving transport. For any questions, contact us.
